The World Academy of Tirana opened a Secondary School in 2012 and decided to follow the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) in Grade 6 to Grade 10. The school is an IB MYP authorized school. The subjects offered in the Middle Years Programme include Language Arts and Literature, Individuals and Societies (History and Geography), Mathematics, Integrated Science, French, Albanian, Personal and Health Education, Drama, Art and Design.
Our teachers are qualified and receive ongoing IB training as well as in-house training. They work in teams where they plan together to meet interdisciplinary and disciplinary requirements and consider social and emotional needs for individual students. They will have the opportunity to closely guide the students to overall school success. Our advisory programme follows all individual students. Teachers are always prepared to meet individual students and individual parents.
Our school participates in the International School Assessment programme, which offers a benchmark for international schools around the world.
We offer a range of fieldtrips, inside Albania and abroad, extracurricular activities to offer opportunities to extend learning beyond the classroom and develop social skills.
