Every year at WAT, we celebrate World Mental Health Day, a significant occasion dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues and promoting well-being within our community.
This year’s celebration was particularly impactful, thanks to the hard work and creativity of our students, teachers and our Counseling & SEN department.
A highlight of our Mental Health Day was the creation of a powerful video by our students and teachers which featured strong statements and personal reflections about mental health, showcasing the diverse perspectives within our school community. Students expressed their thoughts on the stigma surrounding mental health, the importance of self-care, and the need for open conversations.
The video serves as a reminder that mental health matters and that everyone has a role to play in supporting one another. It was shared across our school community, fostering a sense of unity and encouraging viewers to reflect on their mental well-being.
Our school takes pride in fostering a culture of support and inclusivity. World Mental Health Day not only provided an opportunity for students to learn about mental health but also emphasized the importance of compassion and understanding. The collaboration between students, teachers and school psychologists highlighted the value of diverse voices and experiences in addressing mental health challenges.
Together, we are building a stronger, more supportive community where mental health is prioritized and celebrated. Let us continue to advocate for mental well-being and ensure that our school remains a safe space for all.
