Our school is incredibly proud to announce the exceptional results of our MYP Year 5 (Grade 10) students in the June 2025 Personal Project. This culminating, independent project showcases the students' dedication, skills, and passion for their chosen topics.

This year, all 50 of our students successfully completed their Personal Projects. Our school achieved an average grade of 4.52, significantly surpassing the worldwide average of 3.94. This outstanding achievement reflects the hard work of our students and the guidance of our dedicated teachers.

TIR App Gains Local Recognition and Supports Tourists

Among the many impressive projects, one particularly stands out for its direct positive impact on our local community in Tirana. Our Grade 10 Student, Aleksandër Xhuvani, driven by the recognized absence of a reliable public transport tracking system in our city, developed "TIR App." This innovative application aims to help residents and visitors navigate Tirana's public transportation more efficiently.

The TIR App provides users with real-time information about bus routes, estimated arrival times, and ticket price. Recognizing the app's potential, local media has featured Aleksandër's initiative, highlighting its contribution to improving daily life in Tirana. Furthermore, to ensure accessibility for a wider audience, the TIR App is available in both English and Albanian, making it a valuable tool for tourists exploring our city as well. By addressing a real-world problem with a practical solution accessible to all, Aleksandër’s project exemplifies the core principles of the Personal Project – fostering independent learning, creativity, and a sense of responsibility towards the community.

The Impact of the Personal Project

The success of projects like the TIR App demonstrates the profound impact of the IB MYP Personal Project. It empowers students to identify needs within their communities and develop meaningful solutions. This student-driven initiative not only contributes to academic excellence but also cultivates socially conscious and innovative young individuals.

We are excited to share Aleksandër Xhuvani's success story and the overall outstanding results of our MYP Personal Project cohort with the International Baccalaureate. These achievements highlight how the Personal Project serves as a powerful platform for students to make a tangible difference and showcase academic excellence within our school and the wider community.
