Albana is from Albania, has more than 13 years' experience in education, and joined WAT in 2018. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Language and Literature and a Postgraduate Master of Science degree in Teaching Albanian Language and Literature from the University of Tirana. She also has a State License in Teaching and is an IB certified DP and MYP teacher. Albana has worked in different programs including the Albanian National Curriculum, Cambridge Program, and it is her 5th year as an International Baccalaureate (IB) educator in an IB world school here in Tirana. She teaches Language A and Albanian Literature A in DP and Language and Literature for MYP students. She is passionate about being a teacher, because her vision is to educate students who will be citizens of the world and will make a better future for our society. She has attended a range of IB workshops and trainings in Education. She began her career in education as a Specialist in Curriculum Development in Tirana’s Educational Directorate, followed by positions including SAA Coordinator, DP Site-based Coordinator Pamoja, Didactic Director, Project Development Specialist in Training and Education, Curriculum Specialist, MYP teacher and DP teacher. Her successes in education both in Albania and in Germany led her to develop educational projects, and she is an Accreditation Specialist in Implementing and Integrating International Curriculums into Albanian Curriculum and Start-ups of schools here in Albania. Albana's hobbies include theatre, art, and fashion.
