Amal is from Pakistan and joined WAT in 2023. She has many years of international teaching experience. Amal is an active IBEN member and has been teaching DP Business Management for many years.

Klea Serani

Klea is from Albania and joined WAT in 2018. She has a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Speech Therapy. Klea has also completed many trainings in child development and safety. She loves teaching and is very excited for each new academic year and is delighted to be part of the PYP team here at WAT.


Andia Bulo
German Teacher
Andia is from Albania. She joined WAT in 2021. Andia has a Bachelor's degree in German Language and a Master's in Teaching German as a Second Language from the University of Tirana. She has been working as a teacher and translator for over five years. In addition to her teaching experience, Andia has attended different workshops, online courses and conferences.


Cansu Colakoglu
English Teacher
Cansu is from Istanbul, Turkey and joined WAT in 2023. She graduated from Uludag University with a degree in English Language Teaching and also holds a TESOL (Teaching in English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate.


Dea Alla
French Teacher
Dea is from Albania and joined WAT in 2023. She has a Bachelor's degree in Language and Communication from the University of Tirana and an MSc in French Language. Dea continued her studies on Erasmus at the University of Kliment Ohridski in Sofia, Bulgaria and the University of Clermont Auvergne in Clermont Ferrand, France.
Enida Dhoska
DP ICT Teacher
Enida holds a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Tirana. With a background in Information Technology and 12 years of experience in education, she is a result-driven and detail-oriented professional. She has also been Head of Department for 5 years prior to joining WAT to teach MYP ICT. Enida has kept her skills up to date through the latest certificates and courses both in teaching and ICT.


Era Zyfi
Lab Technician
Era is from Albania. She joined WAT in 2022 and has a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Tirana and a Master's degree in teaching from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Tirana.


Erdi Kuburi
PE Teacher
Erdi is Albanian and has been at WAT since 2015. In addition to acquiring a Master's degree in Sport Sciences from the University of Sports in Tirana, Erdi has 15 years of hands-on experience in teaching and coaching. He currently teaches Physical and Health Education in the MYP and DP programs here at WAT and is our Head of Department. He is a certified MYP Physical and Health Education teacher, encouraging student learning by incorporating exciting sports, games, and activities that reinforce the importance of health and physical fitness. These activities also promote active participation, teamwork, organisation, and strategy. Erdi also utilises a number of approaches and teaching techniques to ensure that each student is able to comprehend the presented information, enhance their own personal skills, have fun and socialise.


Jona Cela
Maths Teacher
Jona is from Albania and joined WAT in 2015. She has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Sciences and a Scientific Masters in Teaching Mathematics. Jona is a CAS coordinator and has completed many IB trainings.


Klajdi Aruci
Athletics Coordinator & PE Teacher
Klajdi is from Albania. He joined WAT in 2021 to teach Physical Education. Klajdi has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Sport, Tirana, specialising in physical activity and recreation, and a Master's degree in Teaching from Marin Barleti University. With 5 years in teaching, he is also a gym trainer, and is our Athletics Coordinator here at WAT.


Klea Cicko
Economics Teacher
Klea is Albanian and being raised in a family of teachers, she is passionate about people and learning processes. She joined WAT in 2022 as our DP Economics teacher and lower MYP Design teacher. Klea has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Tirana, Albania and a Master's degree in Advanced Economics from La Sapienza University of Rome, Italy with a year of exchange in the Business and Administration Faculty, at the University of Gent in Belgium. She started her career as a trainer in a foreign multinational company where she worked for three years before going into education.


Livia Shahini
German Teacher
Livia is from Albania and joined WAT in 2022, after several years of experience in international institutions and schools, where she prepared students for international exams, and was also an examiner during the speaking IGCSE Cambridge exam. She has also been working as a part-time lecturer at Aleksandër Moisiu University for two years.. She has a Bachelor's degree in German-English Languages from the University of Aleksandër Moisiu in Durrës, Albania and a Master of Science degree in German Language Teaching for Upper Secondary Education from the University of Foreign Languages in Tirana.


Loziana Prifti
English B Teacher
Loziana is Albanian and studied English language at the Faculty of Foreign Language at the University of Tirana. She holds a Bachelor's degree in American and British studies and a Master's degree in Teaching English Language in upper secondary education. This is her 9th year at WAT and her 10th year in education, having taught for one year in the Cambridge curriculum before joining WAT. During these years at WAT she has been trained on IB Programs, Making the PYP Happen and Concept based Learning.


Nerajda Dada
MYP & DP Arts Teacher
Nerajda is from Albania and joined WAT in 2018. Since she was little, her dream was to be an artist and art teacher like her father. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Science degree in Fashion Design Art from the University of Arts in Tirana. Nerajda has 5 years of experience teaching PYP and MYP IB classes and has attended a range of IB workshops and trainings in education. Teaching art goes beyond creating more successful students. Nerajda believes that it creates more successful human beings. Art can make such an important impact in the lives of students! She likes to expose students to a variety of different materials and introduce them to the artwork of artists from all around the world and throughout history. Prior to her teaching experience, Nerajda also worked as a photo editor for 10 years and has tried different art media and has been part of several art events. These experiences have helped her learn new art techniques that she can teach her students.


Laura Kelly
MYP English teacher
Laura is from Ireland and joined the English Department at WAT in 2025, bringing 15 years of experience in international education. She has taught across primary, secondary, and university levels, with teaching experience in France, Costa Rica, Albania, and Vietnam.From 2013 to 2017, Laura previously served as an Early Years teacher at the World Academy of Tirana and is excited to return to the school community in a new capacity.
She holds a master's degree in education and a PGCE from the University of Nottingham, a BA in English Language and Literature from Queen’s University Belfast, and a Certificate in American Business Practice from the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota.
Laura’s professional interests focus on positive school culture and democratic education, and she is committed to further developing her practice with a strong emphasis on these values.


Pjereta Shytani
Albanian Teacher
Pjereta is from Albania. She joined WAT in 2020 and has a Bachelor’s degree in Language and Literature, a Master’s in Literature, and a Master’s in Psychology. Pjereta has been an IB Examiner for many years for DP Language A Albanian Literature and Extended Essays. She is an officially trained teacher from the International Baccalaureate in the Middle Years Program, Diploma Program and in Interdisciplinary Education. She has attended a large range of workshops and webinars related to teaching and learning processes. Her experience includes 8 years in the International Baccalaureate Program, among others and over the years she has held various positions such as Head of Department of Languages, Head of School, and Service as Action Coordinator. Pjereta also teaches Literature as a Self-taught course for a large number of International Baccalaureate accredited schools in Europe and Asia. She continues to look forward to collaborating with parents as a partner in our students' growth and development.
Ramone Che Rix
Secondary I&S Teacher
Ramone is from Cape Town, South Africa and holds an Undergraduate Psychology Degree from the University of Cape Town, an Honours Degree from Cornerstone College and a Masters degree in Psychology from the University of the Western Cape. He has 4 years experience as a youth facilitator at an organization called GOLD Peer Education. Further, Ramone has been teaching for the last 9 years, 5 years as a psychology lecturer and 4 years as an English teacher. He is passionate about all spheres of Education, but his main areas of interest lie in teaching psychology and history (humanities). Ramone has worked with people of all ages from 9 year old children to university-aged adults. He has also been a chess coach for 3 years.
Solita Xhani
DP & MYP Maths Teacher
Solita is from Permet, Albania and holds a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics from the University of Tirana and a Master of Education. She is one of the middle school Maths teachers here at WAT and has over 8 years experience in classroom and online teaching. Her academic background allows Solita to teach Mathematics at all levels and she believes all students can learn if they are taught to their strengths. Maths is a subject that must be approached using a variety of learning styles since it can be very abstract. Solita thinks it is important to make maths realistic and fun and loves to work with students who she sees grow over the years in their understanding of mathematics.
