Meet the Team

Alena is from Fiji and joined WAT in 2016. She completed her Bachelor of Secondary Education in History and Geography and holds a Graduate degree in Educational Leadership from the University of the South Pacific. Alena has been an IB educator for over 17 years and is an IBEN member, serving as a subject examiner for Diploma Programme History for many years, specialising in the Internal Assessment and Paper 1.

Peter is from England and has been teaching at WAT since 2016. He studied English Literature at the University of Durham before completing a PGCE in English at the University of Bath. He has many years of teaching experience and has also spent many years as an IB teacher. Peter is an IBEN member as an examiner for DP English Language and Literature for many years now, specialising in the Individual Oral and Paper 1 assessments.

Merijada is from Albania and joined WAT in 2013. She graduated university as a History and Geography Teacher. Merijada is a senior member of our school and alongside teaching Humanities, she is our MYP coordinator at WAT. She has completed many IB workshops and well as child safety and other subject related workshops.

John is from the United States of America. He has been at WAT since 2017. His graduate degree is in International History from the London School of Economics and Political Science. John has many years of experience in training and education. His primary role at WAT is serving as the Dean of Students and Faculty.

Alba is from Albania. She joined WAT in 2011 and has a Bachelor's degree in English Language and a Master's in English Language Teaching from the University of Foreign Languages in Tirana. Alba is a senior member of our team and has gone though a lot of trainings and school developments.

Albana is from Albania and joined WAT in 2018. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Language and Literature and a Postgraduate Master of Science degree in Teaching Albanian Language and Literature from the University of Tirana.

Amal is from Pakistan and joined WAT in 2023. She has many years of international teaching experience. Amal is an active IBEN member and has been teaching DP Business Management for many years.

Andia is from Albania. She joined WAT in 2021. Andia has a Bachelor's degree in German Language and a Master's in Teaching German as a Second Language from the University of Tirana.

Anxhela is from Albania and graduated from the University of Tirana with a Bachelor's degree in Language, Literature and French Civilization, and an MSc in French Language. She joined WAT in 2014.

Armelle is from France and joined WAT in 2010. She is multilingual and studied Languages, Translation & International Relations at the Ecole Supérieure de Traduction & Relations Internationales (ESTT) of the Catholic University of Lyon.

Aurora is Albanian and joined WAT in 2014. She studied Albanian Language & Literature at the University of Tirana. Aurora is an IB trained teacher for both MYP and DP programs and is our TOK & Self-Taught Coordinator.

Ben is from England. He joined WAT in 2022. Benjamin has a Bachelor's degree in Music Technology and studied at the University of Hull. He has a teaching certification through Moreland University.

Cansu is from Istanbul, Turkey and joined WAT in 2023. She graduated from Uludag University with a degree in English Language Teaching and also holds a TESOL (Teaching in English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate.

Dea is from Albania and joined WAT in 2023. She has a Bachelor's degree in Language and Communication from the University of Tirana and an MSc in French Language. Dea continued her studies on Erasmus at the University of Kliment Ohridski in Sofia, Bulgaria and the University of Clermont Auvergne in Clermont Ferrand, France.

Elissa is from the United States and joined WAT in 2018. She studied Classics and Art History at Kalamazoo College, Michigan, USA. At WAT, alongside her teaching role, she leads our language department and coordinates meetings and training sessions for her colleagues.

Eliza if from Toronto, Canada and joined WAT in 2023. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree, specialising in History and a Bachelor of Education degree from Queen's University, Canada.

Era is from Albania. She joined WAT in 2022 and has a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Tirana and a Master's degree in teaching from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Tirana.
